{"id":2010,"date":"2020-05-20T12:00:20","date_gmt":"2020-05-20T16:00:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rutherfordschools.org\/pierrepont\/?p=2010"},"modified":"2020-05-19T18:39:39","modified_gmt":"2020-05-19T22:39:39","slug":"may-june-2020","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rutherfordschools.org\/pierrepont\/may-june-2020\/","title":{"rendered":"May\/June 2020"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>We have planned for some different types of days that we hope will engage our students and allow the school day to be structured a little differently.\u00a0 On these days, all <span id=\"gmail-m_-7663134638065032914:32o.27\">Pierrepont<\/span>\u00a0students will sign in to complete their daily attendance question and then complete a variety of assignments\/activities in place of their\u00a0usual classwork.\u00a0 Teachers will share specific information via Google Classroom as the dates draw closer.\u00a0 There\u00a0will be a closure or reflection\u00a0assignment for the students to submit at the completion\u00a0of each of these days.<\/div>\n<div>\n<div><b>Discovery Day May 29<\/b>&#8211; Students will fill their\u00a0school day with a variety\u00a0of activities\u00a0from a choice board.\u00a0 The activities\u00a0cover a range of topics related\u00a0to Math,\u00a0<span id=\"gmail-m_-7663134638065032914:32o.28\">ELA<\/span>, Hands on\/<span id=\"gmail-m_-7663134638065032914:32o.29\">DIY<\/span>, PE, the arts,\u00a0<span id=\"gmail-m_-7663134638065032914:32o.30\">SEL<\/span>, and real world skills.<\/div>\n<div><b><span id=\"gmail-m_-7663134638065032914:32o.31\">SEL<\/span>\u00a0Day June 5<\/b>&#8211; Students will engage in a\u00a0variety of activities that support our school wide goal of Social Emotional Learning.<\/div>\n<div><b>International\/Culture Day- June 12-\u00a0<\/b>The activities will allow students to explore and celebrate a variety of cultures, while focusing on the key idea of &#8220;why it is important to learn about other cultures&#8221;.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>During the week of June 15, parents will be asked to drop off any textbooks and\u00a0<span id=\"gmail-m_-7663134638065032914:32o.32\">Pierrepont<\/span>\u00a0School library books and will have an opportunity to pick up any personal belongings left behind in student desks and lockers.\u00a0 Drop off and pick up times will be staggered to minimize the number of people and provide space for social distancing.\u00a0 A detailed schedule for drop off and pick up of\u00a0 student materials will be shared via Connect 5 and posted on the school website soon.<\/div>\n<div>Please let us know if we can be of any assistance.\u00a0 We have resources available to assist with academic, emotional, or technology support.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We have planned for some different types of days that we hope will engage our students and allow the school day to be structured a little differently.\u00a0 On these days, all Pierrepont\u00a0students will sign in to complete their daily attendance question and then complete a variety of assignments\/activities in place of their\u00a0usual classwork.\u00a0 Teachers will [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":8,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_genesis_hide_title":false,"_genesis_hide_breadcrumbs":false,"_genesis_hide_singular_image":false,"_genesis_hide_footer_widgets":false,"_genesis_custom_body_class":"","_genesis_custom_post_class":"","_genesis_layout":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[6],"tags":[],"class_list":{"0":"post-2010","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","6":"category-pierrepont-principal","7":"entry"},"featured_image_urls":{},"appp_media":null,"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v25.0 -
