Dear Parents and Guardians,<\/p>\n

As we get ready to open schools, one of our main concerns is the safety of our students. We have spent a great deal of time reviewing and updating all of our security procedures. We are now asking you to consider the safety of all students as they are dropped off and picked up from school each day. Attached is a letter from Chief Russo of the Rutherford Police Department discussing this very issue. While the letter appears to focus on a difficult traffic situation outside Union School, the message is appropriate for all of our buldings. I urge you to read the letter<\/a>\u00a0and take seriously the rules and traffic laws that are put into place to safeguard the children.<\/p>\n
