Check your teacher\u2019s website for additional ideas\u00a0 There are also workbooks that you can purchase which review skills.\u00a0 A Summer Calendar for incoming 2nd and 3rd graders is posted on the website. There are daily activities for the grade entering <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rutherfordschools.org\/summer-assignments\/\">https:\/\/www.rutherfordschools.org\/summer-assignments\/ \u00a0 <\/a><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Note the Just<b> READ program! <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><b><i>No essays, no projects, no required texts.\u00a0 Just READ! <\/i><\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rutherfordschools.org\/summer-assignments\/english-language-arts\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">https:\/\/www.rutherfordschools.org\/summer-assignments\/english-language-arts\/<\/span><\/a> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sometimes when you read something you really love, you want to tell someone about it.\u00a0 If you\u2019d like to, you may complete an optional extra credit assignment.\u00a0 If you turn it in to your new teacher in September, you\u2019ll get extra credit!! <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rutherfordschools.org\/summer-assignments\/english-language-arts\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rutherfordschools.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/Summer-Reasding-1-5-Optional-Assignment.pdf\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Extra Credit Option Grades 1-5<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0 Questions or Comments?
