As an educational institution, we have the responsibility to provide students with lessons and activities that address current topics while modeling and instilling the traits of character education.\u00a0 Teaching students the importance of\u00a0\u00a0respect, inclusion, and kindness have always been a part of our school culture. Age appropriate lessons about the impact and horrors of racism are also part of our curriculum. The Rutherford Public School Equity Committee’s\u00a0 mission is to provide a platform and organization that will work with students, staff, and the community in order to ensure best practices are in place to ensure all cultures, races , and ethnicities\u00a0 have a voice to share their experiences, individualism, and ultimately, promote equity within the school buildings.<\/p>\n

To help support this mission,\u00a0Equity\u00a0Resources<\/a> were identified and categorized according to grade levels and content to support continued education at home.<\/p>\n
