This year&#8217;s theme was: <i>Be Kind To Your Mind &#8211; Live Drug Free.\u00a0<\/i><\/p>\n<p>Union Middle School students in Ms. Colleen Kiick&#8217;s classes won two awards. Saisha Patel took the award for best essay in Grade 8. Madison Smith, also in UMS Grade 8, won an award for her poem. Rutherford High School junior Salma El Sherbiny won the prize for creating a video in Mr. Mett&#8217;s TV Production class.<\/p>\n<p>The students&#8217; works will go on to the state committee level for judging and we wish them success!
