In order to keep pace with industry, the department implements curriculum changes on yearly basis. Industry-standard software is used and creativity and critical thinking skills are stressed. A variety of programming languages are taught including Python, C++, and Java. In addition, courses teaching personal financial literacy skills including concepts from savings to investing from buying a car to buying a home are offered as well as courses in Accounting and Marketing. The department is also proud to have students participate in State and National competitions. Students participate in our FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) Club, the Consumer Bowl and The Stock Market Game. In 2005, Ms. O\u2019Donnell became the district Supervisor of Computer Technology and Business Education. A graduate of Montclair State University (College), Ms. O\u2019Donnell has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Office Systems Administration. She earned her Master\u2019s degree in education with a concentration in computers in 1998 from William Paterson University.
