Our State Project, Foster and Adoptive Family Services (FAFS) will be holding their annual
Walk-Me-Home walk-a-thon on Sunday, October 19, 2008.
Registration is at 12:00 p.m. Walk begins at 1:30 p.m.
It’s a three mile walk at Buccleuch Park, 321 Easton Ave, in New Brunswick.
The walk is to celebrate children in foster care and the foster/adoptive families who serve them and to raise funds for programs provided by FAFS.
To register for this Walk, go to the FAFS website http://fafsonline.org and click on the Walk-Me-Home link, then select “Join a Team” then Search and pick Jersey Juniors NJSFWC-JM (our team name).
This is a great opportunity for the Juniors to support FAFS with the largest walk in the nation for foster children and foster care. If anyone is interested in volunteering with registration or helping out with the water stations, please let Carol Frisby, State Project Chair know – she can be reached at: Stateproject@jerseyjuniors.com
Two JWCR members are walking in the walk: Laura O'Connor & Anita Peterson.
You may support their participation in the walk. Go to the FAFS website http://fafsonline.org
and click on the Walk-Me-Home link, then select Jersey Juniors in the listing of participants.
Thank you in advance for your support.
